STORYTELLERS AND FILMMAKERS REPORTING ON THE BIGGEST HEALTH ISSUES OF OUR TIMES

Nothing is more deeply human than the struggle with illness and the quest for health and healing. It touches all of our lives, challenges our values, and reveals who we are as people and as a society.

At Slipstream, we report on the human truth behind the biggest health issues of our times. We bring the perspectives and experience of a PhD anthropologist and a National Geographic photographer and filmmaker to all of our work. Through original reporting and ethnography, we explore complex issues in the context of real people and their everyday lives. Nothing we do is scripted or contrived. Instead, we let the truth arise from people’s stories – and let the voices of our subjects speak: in their words.

What emerges are authentic, nuanced, long-form films and stories that reveal honest, unvarnished truths. Stories you don’t just see and hear, but can also feel. Stories that inspire people to think differently and act boldly.
